About CheckIQ

CheckIQ is a free online IQ test available in 28 languages. Our goal is simple: an honest IQ test that is actually free. No paywall before your result, no email capture, and no subscription.

How the test is built

The test uses non-verbal question types that are widely used in intelligence research: matrix reasoning, number series, figure series and odd-one-out problems. Because they use shapes and numbers instead of words, the questions work the same way in every language and culture.

The questions are generated fresh for every attempt, each with a difficulty level from 1 to 5. Your score is the ability level that best explains your right and wrong answers, placed on the standard IQ scale (mean 100, standard deviation 15). The result is an estimate for entertainment and self-reflection. It is not a clinical assessment.
